Step 1 - Enquire

The first step in this process is sending me an enquiry! I will then get back to you either by email or phone to answer any questions you may have about the process.

I will talk through your expectations for your session and what you want to get out of it. Are you looking for a series of photos for an album? Or for something special to go on your wall? Action shots or portraits? Do you want a photograph to celebrate a particular occasion? We can discuss your vision for your shoot and make a plan to create beautiful and lasting memories.

Step 2. Booking

Once you have all your questions answered, we can book in a time for your session. You can do this through the website or directly with me. Once your time is booked, I will send you an email with details on how to pay the session fee. Your session is not guaranteed until the payment has been fully received.

Step 3. Pre-shoot consultation.

Once payment has been completed, I will send you a questionnaire to fill in about your pet and what you want from your shoot. This will help me get to know more about you and your pet and be able to plan your session so that it runs smoothly. If we have not had a phone call at the enquiry stage, I will follow up your questionnaire with one to introduce myself properly.

Step 4. Before the shoot

Make sure your pet looks their best! If you can, before I arrive for your session give your animal a good groom so that they are tidy and presentable for the camera. It is also a good idea to make sure you have plenty of your pet's favourite treats and toys on hand so that we can use them in the session.

Step 5. Your photo shoot

Regardless of whether you have picked in inside or outside location for your shoot, once we are all there my assistant and I will spend a few minutes getting to know you and your pet without taking my camera out. I find this is especially important with nervous pets so I can build some trust with them before attempting to take their photograph. We will then work with you and your animal to bring out their personality and create some wonderful memories. We try to make all our sessions relaxed and enjoyable, however if at any point your animal is appearing stressed out or uncomfortable we will break for as long as they need to relax in our presence. If I feel it is best to reschedule the session for another day, this will be at no additional cost.

We try to keep the session fun and engaging for your pet, and are sure that you and they will have a great time!

Step 6. Your viewing session

I will do a preliminary edit on all of the images taken at your session. Then, I will show you your images in a presentation and help you to decide which ones you want to have made into artwork. This can take place straight after your shoot if you require, however this will mean you will be viewing unedited photographs. I will provide examples of my editing style so you know what to expect in this instance.

Step 7. Delivery

Your artwork is printed and delivered to you for you to enjoy for years to come!

You will also receive a private digital gallery hosted on this website via an email link. Your gallery will include all of the images you purchased as artwork. All of these images will be watermarked and sized for the web. You will be able to download them straight from the gallery.
